For many it is a toss up whether you will get a very friendly cavachon or one that will not give you the time of day and just be plain mischievous and playful.

Many would say that the average price for this dog breed can be anywhere from two hundred dollars to five hundred dollars. Some breeders are known to sell them at up to six hundred dollars. But if you want really good prices, you may want to make a little visit to the local animal shelter, where they can go as low as one hundred and fifty dollars or even less.

Cavachons will need, or stat to need haircuts and grooming once they reach the age of eight or nine months. This breed can be a bit more high maintenance than other in the grooming department. Their hair gets easily tangled, even just a few hours after you have had them thoroughly combed. Start combing them young so they get used to it and love it when they get older.

This breed requires about two meals of quality dog food a day, as they are generally light and sporadic eaters. Due to their being a lot more active at certain times of the day make sure that they get plenty of water so as to avoid dehydration. Ensure more than usual rations of water once summer and hot months come around.

In general, the breed is a good companion to have around and to play with. They do well living in small spaces but need to be taken outdoors so they can romp and jump around as is their nature.
