Cute Little Texas Teacup Poodles

By Young Lindsay

This special type of cute little Toy Poodle, smaller and even more adorable, is simply irresistible. Generally, they weigh less than six pounds, often even less. In Texas Teacup Poodles can be found locally and online, and once you see them, you won't be able to resist them. They are so lovable and cute that you can only fall in love.

Teacup Poodles can be in all solid colors, including white, black, apricot, brown, cream, blue, silver and gray. Some breeders offer party-colored puppies as well. There are no standards for this breed, and everything is allowed. The hair is either curly or corded. Eyes are dark, set apart and oval shaped, usually brown or black colored.

Teacups are especially intelligent little dogs. They can be easily trained and can learn all sorts of tricks. They have sweet and friendly nature, very good character and amazing abilities. They are so amusing, responsive, gentle and playful, lively and cheerful, making simply adorable pets for all generations. They make sweet companion dogs, great family pets and surprisingly good watchdogs, although so small.

As all other small breeds, these dogs can easily develop a small dog syndrome. If you allow this to happen, you will get one annoying little barker. The only way to avoid this is to become a true pack leader. This means you have to establish certain rules and to stick to these rules, however irresistible your puppy is. Be very gentle, but make sure your puppy knows how to behave and who the boss is.

Small breeds are often prone to different diseases. Teacups might get diabetes or allergies, and they might have problems with their eyes and ears. Reliable breeders will provide healthy little dogs, and it is important to select a good breeder to buy your puppy from. You should also find a good vet and to take your dog there regularly. Healthy dogs live longer, and Teacup can live more than fifteen years.

Your adorable puppy will be happy in your apartment, and you don't have to have a yard. If you do, give your dog an opportunity to play outside every once in a while. If not, make sure to take him for a walk every day. It is important for his health, as well as for his behavior. If he doesn't get enough exercise, he won't be able to spend enough energy and might get bored. This might result with behavior issues.

Poodles' hair requires regular baths and regular clipping. Every six weeks or so you need to take your dog to be properly clipped and groomed. You have to check his ears and eyes, to pull out hair from his ears and to take care of his teeth. It is important to find one good vet to take care of your furry friend and to inform you about all important issues.

These lovely dogs are really friendly and playful, what makes them great companions for both children and adults. Even so, the fact is that they are quite delicate when still very young, and small children might not be careful enough with them. These cute little things are simply adorable, and you won't make a mistake if you choose one to be your family dog.
