By Edward Foster

Everyone is excited about taking a kitten home. Bringing a kitten home adds a cuddly and cute companion into your house for many years to come. You are also adding a responsibility of looking after the cat. You need to look after the emotional and physical needs of the cat. If you are keen on feeding the kittens well, socialize them, and give them the care and love that they need, they are likely to grow into loving and healthy adult cats who will love you back. However, you need to make sure that you buy a healthy pet. Simply visit the best breeders around you to locate the best Siberian kitten for sale.

First, after you locate the right cat, make sure that he is old enough to part with his mothers. It is not right for kittens to be separated from their mothers before they are at least eight weeks old. Avoid buying a kitten that have lived with their mother for more than twelve weeks since you will have a hard time trying to help him adapt to the new environment.

Also, make sure that your house is set to receive the kittens. The goal should be to make the cat feel loved and at home soonest possible. You should therefore avoid instances where you will have to get disappointed with the cat. For instance, it can be very disappointing if the cat damaged your valuable items. Keep your valuable items that the cat can mess with out of reach by the cat.

Your cat will also need some supplies to live a comfortable life. You should not wait to rush during the last minute. Have everything ready before they arrive. For instance, make sure that you buy a softy blanket, toys, food, feeding and watering bowls, litter boxes among others.

Cats love attention. However, it is okay to give them some alone time on arrival to help her get familiar with her new room. Ensure that all that is required to make her feel at home is available. Have her bed ready, her food and water near and her hiding boxes well set.

Kittens love to play. Have some time to play with your cat. Buy some toys for the cat. Remember that cats learn how to hunt while they are three to six months old. Ensure that you give the cat space to learn this.

Expose your cat to all types of experiences and sounds. Invite your friends to come and see the cat, play your favorite music on the stereo, use the vacuum, and let the kitten see water running on the faucet. This will ensure that your kitten enjoy and understands rather than being afraid to the things that will take place in her life.

You should find out the type of food the pet was eating before you brought her home. Ensure that you buy the exact food and you follow the schedule she used to follow when it comes to feeding. You can later change the diet once the cat has adapted to the new environment.
