Trustworthy Natural Flea Control Techniques

It is wise to use known reliable control methods in order to counter the adverse effects of fleas on pets and human beings. Lack of natural flea control during an outbreak can lead to severe consequences like destroying immunity of pets making them susceptible to other diseases. In other circumstances, flea infestation can cause death. Therefore, the use of natural remedies is always recommended in severe and not so severe cases.

It has been scientifically proven that the use of chemicals to control fleas is posing a challenge to both animals and humans alike. Unlike natural control techniques, chemicals do cause serious health hazards. The worst part is that fleas have developed a resistance to many chemicals used leading to production of more lethal chemicals that can cause poisoning to dogs and cats.

There are many methods that you can use in control of fleas some of these are; the use of Diatomaceus Earth and electric flea trap. To begin with, the Diatomaceous Earth is a food grade insect dust that is produced in form of chalky dust. Basically, this is natural fossilized remains of the known hard-shelled algae that are also commonly known as diatoms. It is not only effective in countering fleas but also ants, ticks, cockroaches and other small insects.

The electrical flea trap is highly recommended to use in areas that are with highly infested with fleas. It is known to capture an estimated 10,000 fleas with ease and the best thing is that is that the dead fleas are always hidden behind the grid. In fact, it is so effective that it covers an estimated area of 25ft- and this is a plus for all users.

There are other natural methods that can be used to control fleas too, and the best thing is that these natural remedies are equally effective and cheap. The rosemary flea drip involves boiling rosemary for about 30-minutes in moderate heat. This is done in order to get the liquids, leaves are afterwards discarded after the boiling, and some cold water added to bring down the temperature. The amounts of water you will use solely depend on the size of your cat or dog; lastly, soak your pet and allow him to dry naturally.

Brewer yeast is another highly recommended natural method that can be used to control flea infestation irrespective of type of pet you have in your home. This is always added to the dog's food just the way you can do with prescribed medication. It is ejected from the body system through the skin making your pet very unattractive to fleas.

In the recent past years, lemon sprays have become so popular because they are an easy to use natural remedy to counter the flea menace. Firstly, the lemons are cut in pieces then left overnight in boiled water. In the Morning, the water is sprayed on the pest that is affected-the fleas simply die.

The use of apple cedar vinegar is highly recommended for those that do not want to spend more. It is natural and involves adding apple cedar vinegar in a dogs food, this will make the pets skin very acidic making it unpleasant to fleas. This is a must-use if you do not want to spend a fortune on other unreliable chemicals.
