Find Jumping Spiders For Sale

Jumping spiders, called Salticidae, live all round the world. There are more than five thousand of different species of them, and some look really attractive, vividly colored and distinctively looking. Their specialty is their ability to jump across large distances. Funny little jumping spiders for sale are available online, and you will certainly find really attractive ones to keep them in your home.

Because their eyes are so big, they have really good vision, and thanks to all four pairs of eyes, they can see in all directions at once. Small an interesting, they are also very effective hunters. Although their legs don't seem to be very strong, they can increase a blood pressure in them, and make them longer, and this allows them to jump so far away.

These friendly little creatures will follow you with their large eyes and even jump on your finger. Thanks to the fact they are active only during the day, they can be found in different interesting colors. During the night, or when the weather is bad, this little spider will find a dry spot somewhere or hide in his silk chamber, but when it is sunny, you will find them just about anywhere.

After spotting its prey, the spider will slowly advance towards it. When it comes near enough, he will jump and grab its prey with its jaws. Before the actual jump, the spider will release a tiny lifeline, to prevent the fall. These types of spiders don't make webs, but often feed on web-making spiders. Others eat only small insects.

Females are larger, and males have more interesting colors. Front legs are usually even more colorful and covered with long hair. The spider will wave its front legs in the air to be more attractive to the female, this is a part of its courtship. Females are careful mothers. After they lay their eggs into silky chambers, they will guard them to make sure they are safe.

Jumping spider's body consist of two parts, a cephalothorax and abdomen. Cephalothorax is actually a fusion of its head and thorax, and all eight legs are attached to it. Eyes are spaced on the frontal body region. The largest pair is in the middle, with another smaller eye on each side, and other two pairs are beside. Thanks to these characteristic eyes you can instantly recognize jumpers.

Their lifespan is about one year. Some species live two to three years, and some live in colder climates and hibernate, and they can live longer thanks to that. They don't make webs, but they do make tiny little silk chambers to hide in them during nights. These chambers are usually attached to some plant, or somewhere behind rocks.

As they grow, they have to molt, usually five to six time before they grow up to be adults. The molting is a process of shedding the entire skin, all at once. During that time, they also hide in their silk chambers, attached to vegetation. Spiders are very useful little creatures, because they feed on different insects that are pests, and people should not kill them.
