Reasons To Favor Dog Boarding Over Kennels

By Annabelle Holman

A dog is one of the best companions any man can have. They miss you when you leave for work, and greet you enthusiastically by the door the moment you get back in. They are also natural antidepressants, chasing the blues away with a simple wag of the tail or a hot kiss on your face. They are the ones who love you more than anybody else.

It is then not at all disconcerting that some treat their dogs more than pets. Instead they treat them as family. They are willing to spend money to look after their welfare. They shower their pets with much love and care. They bring them along everywhere, but when they could not, they choose an excellent dog boarding dc to be sure that their babies are safe and well cared for.

A dog boarding employs the same principle as having a house sitter when you go on an away trip for the holidays. You can either have the sitter come over to watch your pet and your house, or you can bring your dog over to the environment where the sitter is in. The first works pretty well when the person you have in mind is someone you really know, such as a best friend or a sibling. Some who live far away from family and most friends often choose the second option.

Either way, most dog lovers agree that this option is far more better than leaving a pet back at the kennel. They will allow your pet to relax, even when put under the care of another person other than you. He also will not come in contact with a lot of dogs he does not know, so he will not be as stressed as if you placed him in a kennel.

One good thing about employing the services of a sitter is experience. Unlike the professionals at a kennel, these people at the boarding are certified canine fans, which means they will really shower your mutt with love and attention. You do not have to leave so many detailed instructions, only the really unique ones that your mutt likes, such as placing his favorite chew toy in the nook that he is supposed to sleep in.

A kennel does not tell you anything while you are out, but a sitter will. In fact, she will give you updates from time to time. She can even send you photos and videos of your pooch having fun or resting, if you really want to.

Leaving him at home boarding will assure you he gets all the attention needed. Sitters usually focus on one pooch at a time, so they can be on top of every situation. Kennels usually assign a keeper to twenty dogs at once, so chances are he will not even notice a problem with your pet due to the other ones vying for his attention as well.

They also get far more exercise and play, too. They do not have to stay cooped up all the time. In fact, they are even allowed to wander around to acquaint himself to the new environment.

Most owners feel that it is best to just bring your pets when you go on a vacation. They keep the kids occupied, and they would love the new experience, too. If circumstances do not allow for this, however, then leaving them with a sitter is the next best thing.
