How To Have An Obedient Dog

By Joseph Stan

You can't have a clean house with an untrained puppy. However, there are many people out there who are not sure how to train their dogs properly. The advice in this article will help you with that and other aspects of dog training.

As a new puppy is goes through a teething process and that can be quite itchy for them. For a period of time they'll start to bite everything. In order to avoid this you can buy a chewing toy and maintain other things that can be put in his mouth like socks and shoes away from him.

When training your dogs, always use the same tone of voice and volume level when you give a command. Your dog will learn to recognize your tone and know they should obey. It will also help him distinguish between a disciplinary tone, which is sharper, and a commanding tone. Take the time to teach your dog how to behave when on a leash. Doing so is a matter of safety for both you and the dog when you take him for a walk.

Watch your dog carefully and learn the signs that they need to go outside. It's common for them to snuffle, wise and pace when they have to go. Do not hesitate when you see your dog do that. Immediately take your dog outside to the official restroom spot. Whenever he relieves himself in an appropriate time and place, he should be praised immediately. Do this consistently and he will always let you know when he needs to go outside.

Providing care and love for your dog should be your main priority but obedience should also be part of your dog's life because if you have an obedient dog most likely the owner will be happy as well. Learn to be fun and loving but firm when the time is needed and if you follow these tips you should have no problem training your best friend.
