Cones are perceived to be subjecting animals to torture. Indeed they can be termed as necessary evil. To be effective, the collars should be properly designed prevent dogs from licking, biting and scratching wounds and other irritated body parts. In so doing, they should combine both comfort and safety features. Both to the pet and yourself should be safe with their use.

The collar may feel uncomfortable especially at the beginning. Some dogs perform tricks just aiming to get them off. If they do not succeed, they become agitated and can turn hurtful. If your dog is this kind, you should try different collars until you get the one that feels most comfortable. The collars come in different shapes and designs. They also vary in the materials that are used. Their size also matters.
