Bathing Your Mini Goldendoodle Puppies For Sale For The First Time

By Sarah Kelly

When it comes to looking after pets, there is plenty to keep in mind. As much as it seems like all fun and games, they have lives too and also have certain needs that appeal to their health and wellbeing. For example, if you want to buy those Mini Goldendoodle Puppies for Sale, you not only need to remember to feed them or walk them on time, but you also need to spare a few thoughts for the first time you bathe them.

The first step is to make sure you are using the right shampoo. If you walk into the animal aisle at your local grocery store, you will see there are plenty of options. However, you need to buy according to the direct needs of your dog. This will be determined upon their age, whether you are giving them a normal bath, or whether you are buying something to combat ticks and fleas.

You also need to keep in mind that if you have a puppy, you shouldn t settle for an original shampoo that is meant for all dogs. Remember a puppy s skin is still sensitive and if you anything that is too harsh, it could cause damage. This is why there are specific shampoos for babies and others for bigger dogs. They are all made to combat specific needs and specific ages.

It is good to introduce your pup to loud noises from a young age, so they don t fear anything. Once they are done in the tub, wrap them up and wipe them gently. Once the water is soaked in the towel, you may want to use the hairdryer. Remember to set it at a low heat so that the skin doesn t burn. Use the lowest number so the sound is also not too high.

The same applies to get them used to go into the water. Some canines fear it whilst others love it and sometimes it is all about the way you introduced them to it. If you are using a shower hand, you may want to allow for a few squirts every few minutes and spend more time massaging the shampoo into their hair. Also, keep the water level at a decent level so they don t feel they will drown.

The one thing to bear in mind is when you are washing their heads and faces. Don t ever let the water go into the dog s ears. Their ears are quite sensitive and if it goes inside, it will cause a severe infection. It is best to support the head and block their eyes whilst you pour water down the back of their neck. Use a cloth to gently wipe their face.

It may be hard as a first-time pet owner. And if you are not entirely sure when it is best to rather seek professional advice. You can visit your nearest vet and ask them how to do it best or you can visit a groomer and ask them to let you sit in one of the washes so that you have an idea.

Washing your pet is a wonderful experience and more of a bonding session than anything else. Follow the right steps to make the most of these moments.
