German shepherds were originally bred form a line of farm and herding dogs that originated from Germany and widely popular for being a working, dog, protector and companions. This breed is full of energy, fun loving and playful and if trained to be socialize, they will learn to love children. Adopters must ensure that the puppies have been checked out by veterinarians and have undergone vaccinations and medications. Ask if the vets have reported genetic problems or other issues after conducting the tests.

Researching is vital when adopting a German shepherd. This breed is not for everybody that loves animals for pets. It is important to determine if the breed is suitable for your lifestyle and the activities of the family.

Budgeting is essential when making a purchase. German shepherds are expensive breeds. Therefore, individuals will have to be financially prepared for all the upcoming expenses that will occur for the purchase and for the future of the dog.
